Inflammation Means Body Fat:
Where in the body does this inflammation come from? It is true that trans and saturated fats can increase inflammation, but it’s the body fat itself that is the main culprit; this is especially seen in the “belly” region.
According to a study printed in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the amount of inflammation within a person’s body was relative to their body fat. Basically it means that until you do away with the extra fat, you’re going to have a tough time managing your blood sugar levels.
Reduce Your Weight To Lower Your Inflammation and Lower Blood Sugar Levels:
Still need another cause to lose weight? Besides lowering the inflammation and blood glucose levels, it also helps to protect your body from chronic diseases such as heart disease.
Whilst losing weight is not something you really want to do, you do need to just lose around 5 to 10 percent of your body weight to reap the rewards of lower blood sugar levels. According to a 2005 research paper that was published in Diabetes Care, a person needs to only lose 10 pounds (4.5 kgs) to drastically reduce their HbA1c level, which is a significant gage for continuing blood sugar level management.
For people who choose to lose weight to manage their type 2 diabetes, they will be rewarded with lower blood sugar levels and many of these people will not need medications.
Obesity, even just being overweight, makes you a prime candidate for type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Without intervention you will probably end up taking multiple medications and/or having to make drastic lifestyle alterations for a disease that can affect every aspect of your life. Losing weight is what will help you to reverse type 2 diabetes.
